Lockdown Activity Checklist


Based on the psychological principle of behaviour activation, this checklist provides over 100 ideas of meaningful activities to do during lockdown to fight off depression and other mental health challenges.

Prevention and treatment of depression centers around a concept called behaviour activation. When we are feeling down, we engage in less activities and experience less pleasure and accomplishment from the activities we do.

To counteract this trend, it is important to intentionally apply oneself to meaningful activities that provide a sense of enjoyment and/or mastery. Through scheduling and committing to these fun and challenging activities, you are engaging in behaviour activation. This list, while not exhaustive, provides over 100 “lockdown-safe” ideas to fight the proverbial black dog (depression), stay present (as opposed to being victim to anxious thoughts), and socially connected.
